    Architect, Designer,& inventor

  • Beth Metsch Goldman has always been surrounded by creativity. Growing up just outside New York City, she spent her childhood watching her father, a builder and civil engineer, design and construct homes. Her mother, an artist & interior designer, added beauty and style to every space. It’s no surprise that Beth developed a passion for design at an early age.

As a teenager in Boca Raton, Florida, Beth’s natural talent for architecture shone when she won a county-wide home design contest. From there, she followed her passion to the University of Miami, earning her degree in Architecture, and then to Columbia University in New York City, where she graduated with a Masters in Architecture & Urban Design. It wasn’t just buildings that captured Beth’s interest—she loved designing everyday items that made life easier and more beautiful.

Beth’s journey led her around the world, from working on resorts in the Caribean, public buildings and apartments in NYC, and commercial and residential homes in Colorado. After studying in Venice and, Florence, traveling throughout Europe and Southeast Asia, she was inspired by the craftsmanship and attention to detail in everything from buildings to everyday objects. These experiences solidified her passion for creating products that combine functionality, sustainability, and style.

After settling in Colorado, Beth launched her own line of handcrafted leather handbags and earned patents for her iconic ZIPPURSE® by BAM Bags®, a bag made entirely of one zipper. Now, she is introducing her latest creation: the PicChair™. This multipurpose piece is not just a chair—it’s a work of art. Made from sustainable Colombian White Oak, the PicChair™ transforms from a stylish, comfortable seat into a sleek picture frame when not in use. It’s a perfect blend of design and practicality, offering a smart solution for modern living spaces where every inch counts.

She always aims to create products that make life a little more joyful. Whether it’s a unique handbag or a cleverly designed chair, Beth’s creations are all about making the everyday extraordinary.

When she’s not dreaming up her next invention, Beth enjoys life in the Colorado Rockies with her husband, Glen, and their four sons. With a focus on sustainability, practicality, and timeless style, Beth Metsch’s designs are sure to inspire and delight.
